This breastplate is sculpted to provide focused protection for the front of the torso and abdomen. It features a rounded flange at the base - a functional "sword turner" - designed to deflect incoming strikes away from the vulnerable area where torso and leg armor meet. The surface is finished with a hardened, realistic texture that mimics the look of authentic metal, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into any Ready for Battle or existing plate harness.

Unlike steel, this polyurea construction is entirely maintenance-free; it will not rust, dent, or require oiling, making it ideal for wet climates or intensive play. Secure the plate using the adjustable 4 cm leather straps at the back, which allow for a personalized fit over a gambeson or arming doublet.

Fit, adjustment & care

• The strap system handles most sizing on its own, but for a closer fit, you can gently reshape the material itself using heat. Apply heat to the inside of the piece rather than the painted exterior, so the material becomes flexible without damaging the finish.
• Finish: The base material underneath the painted surface is black, so over time, scratches and general wear may reveal this black color underneath.
• Easy touch-ups: Minor cosmetic damage, such as scuffs or scratches can be simply repaired at home using a primer and acrylic hobby paints (such as Army Painter or Citadel).
• Leather care: The leather straps should be maintained like any other full-grain leather product, with occasional conditioning to keep them supple and long-lasting.
