The Stronghold Master Collection has been marketed as maintenance free, but we have recently learned that the paint finish on the blades may become damaged due to friction caused by the soft density of the foam upon impact. After additional tests, we have found out that a coating of Epic Armoury Maintenance Silicone Spray or Protection Gel reduces this friction and preserves the finish. Marks on the weapons are to be expected, especially the darker tinted ones, after prolonged usage even with a protective coating. But these occur far sooner than they should on the Stronghold Master Collection range.

We want to make clear that this issue only affects the paint finish of the blade and not the integrity of the foam itself.

This does however, in our eyes, mean that we cannot in full honesty say that these swords are maintenance free. We are usually very diligent and thorough with our testing, but this issue was not discovered in our initial product tests, and for that we apologize.

We will no longer be marketing the Stronghold Master Collection as maintenance free. Those of you that have already purchased and received Stronghold Master Collection swords before July 6th, will be eligible to either a refund or the compensation described below.

OPTION 1: Return & Refund

Affected customers will be asked to return their items (elligible item list below) for a full refund via the method in which they paid.

This option is offered until the 31st of August 2020.
If you have purchased your item through an authorised Epic Armoury Reseller you will need to obtain your full refund through them.
Your full refund refund will be processed on return of the product. Customers that paid online via credit card may be contacted to faclitate refunds.

OPTION 2: Silicone & Voucher

You keep your Stronghold weapon(s). We will provide you with Epic Armoury Protection Gel (or approved substitute product, pending stock availability) and application instructions. As an apology for providing you with a product that does not meet our expectations, we will also be providing each affected customer that takes this option a 30% Off Voucher for their next purchase at Epic Armoury Australia.

Vouchers are none transferrable and may only be redeemed on the account of the affected customer.
Voucher may only be used at www.epicarmoury.com.au, and may not be used with resellers or authorised merchants.
Voucher does not provide discount on shipping or related costs.
