Germanic Shield

The Germanic Shield gives you the long, tapering hexagonal silhouette carried by the warriors of the old northern tribes, ready to lock into a line or carry alone into a skirmish. The cream face is painted with bold red tribal markings that run top to bottom, framing a domed black boss with grey scrollwork fanning out to either side. A stitched brown leather edge wraps the whole shield, finishing it like a piece a warband actually fought behind.

At 103 by 51 cm it offers serious vertical coverage without the weight of a tower shield, protecting from shoulder to shin while staying agile enough to angle and reposition through a fight. Equally at home on a tribal warrior, a barbarian champion, a pre-medieval skirmisher, or anyone building a kit with old-world weight.
