A servant of Ratio, you are a Kan soldier of the Army of Doubt. The Mirrorworld is your home, and it is your duty to stand guard on behalf of the Primordial Skeptics--the very beings a Large Host of settlers are seeking to destroy. As the army’s backbone, you will face these enemies on the front lines of battle. They will learn to fear you.

The regular leather gauntlets we sell are already pretty boss for giving someone a backhand, but with a plate of brass over the knuckle you'll remain unsullied when laying in for a duel.

You look upon your leading officer as he makes his way down the line of your fellow soldiers. Your fate and the fate of your entire unit is dependent on this veteran’s word, and you find yourself relieved not to shoulder such a heavy burden.

“We must fight!” your officer shouts for all to hear. You adjust your Floating Elbow armour, double checking the buckles as you listen to him continue. “For our homes and for our families, we will fight until we can fight no more!” With a resounding cheer, your fellow soldiers ready themselves for the charge. You withdraw your weapon, eager and afraid all at once.

The battle has begun.

You stand watch from the tower, keeping your guard post even when all appears still and quiet. While the hour is late and it is unlikely that the enemy will attack tonight, it is your duty to keep the camp safe. At the first sign of danger, you are to sound the alarm.

Leaning on your Sentinel Spear, you stifle an exhausted yawn. You are prepared to wait and to watch for hours, but that does not make you miss your bed any less. Some coffee would be much appreciated.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Sentinel Spear is a 180 cm latex polearm inspired by the glaive. The Sentinel Spear has a 60 cm sleek, gently curved blade that is handpainted and sculpted. A coloured gem encased in rich metal attaches the blade to the 110 cm wood-coloured pole. The pole is wrapped in soft split-leather to ensure a firm and comfortable grip, and ends with a coreless pommel for safe combat.

Made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.

HISTORY

• A form of the spear has been used for hunting for at least 400,000 years
• Spears were the most common form of weaponry during the Stone Age, and remained popular until firearms were introduced
• This particular design is similar to a glaive, where a single-edged blade is attached to the end of a pole

Molded and cut to provide the most protection to the entire elbow--including the sides and a portion of the arms--you can depend on this armour to keep you fighting. Made of hard full-grain leather, these armour pieces are built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather care. Complete Elbow Protection

Epic Armoury’s Epic Dark Milanese Couter is a low-fantasy set of armour designed to protect the elbows--including the sides and a portion of the arms, thwarting even the most determined soldier. Its shape is intended to not only block blows, but to deflect them away safely. A curved shelf is riveted and welded along its edge, catching strikes that would otherwise slide onto the arms.

The Milanese Couter is one piece, constructed using galvanized mild steel coated in our Epic Dark coating to prevent rust. One vegetable-tanned leather strap is used to keep each of the couters in place. Conveniently placed eyelets can be used to attach the couter firmly to a gambeson or shirt. With regular leather and metal care you can expect this quality made armour to last for a long time!
