Epic Armoury’s Black/Desert Beige Claw Bracer is a leather gauntlet designed to protect the lower arm with a good measure of old-fashioned and brutally offensive spikes. Constructed of overlapping plates connected by leather ties, move freely while still benefiting from complete coverage from the back of the hand to the elbow. Of course, this armour is not without style! Flexible leather ‘claws’ adorn the back of the hand like claws, while each leather plate has its own unique and spiked flair. A desert beige plate at the elbows also features runic drawings--perhaps infused with the powers of necromancy.
The Claw Bracer is made from full-grain leather that has been vegetable tanned. Attach the Claw Bracer to your right arm using the leather straps around the elbow, forearm and wrist. A soft leather strap is also tightened around the hand, with a loop fitted around the middle finger. Fearsome to behold and designed to appear sharp and deadly, use this armour with an assortment of secretive and dangerous characters. It can be worn with Epic Armoury’s matching Dark Elf armours or on its own.
Please note that this gauntlet is designed for right-hand use.
Dark Hand Protection
- Hand protection is one of the oldest forms of armour, due to its importance in combat
- This particular style might also be referred to as a “demi-gauntlet,” due to its limited finger protection
A shield that would make the proponents of rampant chaos proud
Your Knight’s Code is one of valor, truth, and courage. You are tasked with defending the innocent and the weak, and today your oath is being tested. Outside of town there has been a bandit attack on a merchant and his family, and it’s up to you to rescue them.
Your squire straps your Marauder Shield tight onto your arm over the weight of your chainmail, and with a prayer to your God you and your small unit strike out onto the road. The sword upon your shield is a reminder that you are a weapon of justice.
Criminals be warned.
DETAILS
Epic Armoury’s Marauder Shield is a round latex shield inspired by pre-10th century soldiers. Finished with a tarnished brass shield boss, cross, and rim, this shield will fit perfectly in the hands of a knight or soldier. While the design is sample, this Marauder Shield is timeless and classic, and can fit almost any LARP game you can find.
Featuring a reliable and comfortable punch-grip, feel confident that this hard EVA foam and latex shield will withstand the continued abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance. Defend against your enemies and make this Marauder Shield a part of your epic fighting style.
HISTORY
- Round wooden style was predominantly used in the early European Middle Ages using light, non-splintering wood such as linden, fir, alder or poplar
- Iron rim was sometimes used as a way to reinforce the shield
The again-walker's eyes were lit with balefire. It had died a hero, but had still been denied entry to the Valhall. It had been tasked with standing vigil inside the burial chambers in case the people of Eyri ever came returned to take back what had once been theirs. The only comfort to be found in its sluggish thoughts, as black as the skin of the draug itself, was that at least its sword could change size with it and slay even a fierce jotunn.
This Way Evil Comes
Epic Armoury’s Draug Sword is a medium latex LARP sword inspired by high-fantasy villains and undead creatures. The sword is 115 cm long and has a straight double-edged blade with two fullers. The 19cm wide crossguard is hand painted and textured to look like worn and chipped steel, embellished with a skeleton face cast in polyurethane foam. The matching pommel has a common ‘scent-stopper’ shape often seen throughout the middle ages. Much like a real sword, the grip also features a grooved and ergonomic shape, and is wrapped in a layer of dark leather.
Whether you are a necromancer or the dead come to life, this sword is offers incredible quality due to its durability and detail. The blade is made from EVA foam around a 10mm solid fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, while the handle is a polyurethane foam cast that requires little maintenance. This next generation model sword is meant to last a lot longer than a typical latex LARP weapon--all without sacrificing the aesthetic you deserve.
Inspiration
- Draug is the Danish word for an undead creature from Norse mythology
- The draug were said to guard treasure inside burial mounds, and were incredibly strong
- It was said that a mean or greedy person could become a draug after they died
