You were not born a soldier. If anything, you were born to be quite the opposite! A farmer’s child, you grew up working the land and minding your own business. You never expected that one day your lord might come for you and demand that you join his army in the name of the kingdom--and the safety of your family.

You couldn’t afford much in way of armour, but you did manage to put together enough money for a Secret Helmet. Helmets are the most important armour you can own, and you can only hope that it might save your life so you might one day return to your fields.

Someone might say that you are a cruel person. The truth is that you aren’t cruel--but you certainly aren’t a hero, either. The Battle of Delle is not one for your homeland or for your own people, but the pay is good and the fighting even better.

Life as a mercenary has made you into a hardened and effective warrior, and while some call it ‘luck’ when your enemy’s sword slides off your Merc Armour, you call it strategy. After all, now your enemy’s heart is a wide open target.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Mercenary Torso Plate is a cuirass made from leather and steel covering the front and back of the wearer's torso. The front of this breastplate circles the wearer’s neck in an inverted U-shape, with the chest apex protecting the thorax before sloping around the ribcage to protect under the arms. The lower edge of the breast plate is slightly rounded, allowing it to fit around the crests of the hips and still cover the vulnerable pelvis. The steel plate is fitted on a brown leather suit, which straps to the back leather plate at the shoulders and the sides.

The Mercenary Torso Plate is designed to match Epic Armoury’s Mercenary Armour, but is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Made of 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

On your way to your regular spot you pass a lovely lady in a fine dress. You may be a ruffian, but with your candid smile you give the lady a tip of your fanciful Top Hat. She looks flattered, which is a good distraction...because now you’ve got a silver to add to the copper in your pocket.

The Wizard was angry. Not only had they conflated him with the bombing of Dresden, not only had they ruined his Star Wars marathon, they'd had the temerity to ask about The Hat.

"It's a Witch Hunter's Hat. Do I look like a Witch Hunter to you?" he asked between clenched teeth.

"But it's on the cover of the books!" the annoying one replied.

"Then maybe you should have bought the UK edition." he said in a voice colder than the mantle of Winter's Knight.

The Morion helmet sits comfortably on your head as you march, faithful to its master despite the challenges. It has been a long and dusty road, but that helmet has remained with you through it all.

As your infantry unit comes to a halt, there is the tension one always feels before the fight. You resist the anxiety, because the moment you step into battle all of that must fade away. Epic Armoury’s Morion is a steel helmet inspired by the 15th- to 16th-century Spanish conquistadors conquering the world for Gold, God and Glory. The Morion’s brim is shaped to protect the head and face without obstructing vision, curved along the front and back. The skull-cap is reinforced with a long comb running from the forehead along the helmet’s apex. Riveted cheek guards are fitted to the helmet, adding additional protection to the face.

Secure the Morion by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. Made of 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Epic Armoury’s Kettle Hat is a steel helmet inspired by infantry armour used during the Middle Ages. The Kettle Hat’s brim is broad and sloped in order to protect the head and face from weapons, projectiles and the sun. Wear this helmet with a metal coif for additional neck and cheek protection.
